Deployable Free-standing Pole

At Windsocks Direct we’re proud to have designed an industry first – the Deployable Free-standing Pole for Windsocks, a robust and portable solution, ideal for use as a temporary or semi-permanent windsock pole.

This unit has been custom designed for windsock compatibility and can be deployed in a matter of minutes, in any conditions and on any terrain. No other deployable free-standing pole can match the strength and durability of this product.

This pole is constructed from highly resilient materials and is suitable to be left out in the open indefinitely. It has been tested to a temperature range of -40C to +55C.

Freestanding Windsock Pole

The base of the unit is a folding steel tripod stand finished in yellow, silver or NATO green and provides a stable base for the mast. Adjustable feet allow levelling on uneven ground. Each tripod leg has a guying point and the feet are drilled for ground spikes to allow for safe erection in windy conditions. 3x 14" ground spikes are included.

The mast itself is constructed from 3" diameter 3.25mm wall aircraft grade aluminium alloy, with keyed sections to prevent rotation and improve stability. The mast is extended through the use of an in-built hand pump and extends in a matter of seconds, with very little muscle power required.

The top of the mast includes a marine-grade stainless steel windsock swivel arm to allow full freedom of rotation, allowing the windsock to immediately react to the prevailing wind conditions. This is compatible with any of our snap-on windsocks (which simply clips onto the eyelet of the swivel arm) up to 7FT (210cm) in length. We do not recommend using any larger windsocks on this system.

Choose the extendable height option most suitable for your application – sizes range from 3.5m to 10m. The entire system can be deployed or collapsed within minutes and the legs on the tripod can be removed for flat storage in the tightest of spaces. These deployable free-standing pole masts are exclusive to Windsocks Direct and are made to order in the UK. There is an eight week lead time on delivery, so please bear this in mind when ordering. Units are packed securely in a wooden casing and include a 3-year warranty (parts & labour).
